Description
Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world. It lowers mental fatigue ratings, provides energy for daily activities, increases alertness and improves the efficiency of brain activity. The caffeine in coffee stimulates the breakdown of adipose tissue and and boosts metabolic rate.
-It can also be useful in treating common diseases such as gall bladder, type 2 diabetes, gastrointestinal and lung and breast cancers, headache, low blood pressure, obesity and hyperactivity disorders, and in preventing Alzheimer’s disease.
Coffee contains caffeine, antioxidants, polyphenols and small amounts of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 and the elements manganese, potassium, magnesium and phosphorus.
-Different types of coffee differ in brewing, bean type and types of processing. In general, there are four coffee bean types: Excelsa, Liberica, Arabica and Robusta the first two accounting for a small amount of the global coffee production.
-Robusta beans are plumper, have a pale green color and the crack on the beans is a straight line. Arabica beans are more elongated and the beans have a sinuous groove. Arabica coffee contains twice as much sugar, 60% more fats but about half as caffeine as Robusta coffee. Arabica coffee has a mild and more or less fruity flavor whereas Robusta coffee has a more bitter taste compared to Arabica coffee. Brazil is the largest producer of Arabica and Vietnam the largest producer of Robusta.
-Liberica beans are less cultivated than the other types of coffee. Liberica is native to West and Central Africa but is now also cultivated in Asia and the United States. The flavor of Liberica coffee is special and different, and its beans give off a rich and smoky flavor when roasted or brewed.
-Like Liberica coffee, Excelsa coffee is rarely used and has a smoky flavor when roasted or brewed. Southeast Asia is the origin of Excelsa.
-Terms such as Espresso and Turkish coffee, etc. are very commonly used by people, and sometimes coffee stores offer their coffee under such names to their customers. However, these are not coffee types but merely names for the way they are prepared and, since they are popular, are considered types of coffee by people.
-It is worth noting that the RedRuby International Co offers the world’s finest types of coffee for the benefit of its consumers.
